Researching & Writing
I’ve been researching my next novel and have met and talked to some amazing people. I often think I am receiving a free education from the immense amount of information people have shared with me. Until I started researching my new novel I was not aware that the Los Angeles Police department has the nation’s only full-fledged art theft investigative unit. They have a web page reviewing the many incidents they have solved. Interesting reading for any mystery enthusiast. Now …

So with a smile on my face, dreams of my Royals in the World Series and another Fantasy NASCAR victory, I set about tackling the …

New Year and New Thoughts
2010 is here and with it some of the coldest weather this winter. That should be good for writing since I am not a cold weather person and tend to find myself in front of the fireplace a lot this time of year. By the time spring gets here I should have my next book about done. I will give you some hints about the story in upcoming blogs. I would like to take a minute and share something that …

Once a Marine Always a Marine
Today marks the birth of my blog page where I can share with you information about The Russian Connection, which is now out, and take you along on my journey as I write and research my new book. I cannot think of a better day than November 10th, the birthday of the United States Marine Corps to launch my blog. As a former Marine I take a lot of pride in being one of the few, the proud, a Marine …

The Russian Connection
Take Rick Lane, a young Marine Corps officer reeling from his wife’s murder, throw in Homeland Security and a Presidential order for Lane to track down and terminate international criminals plotting a world-shaking assassination, and you have The Russian Connection, Ken Fain’s white-knuckle thriller that delivers suspense, intrigue, and more than a dash of hard-hitting power. Add to this mix Lane’s friend, the seductively beautiful film star Lindsey Owens, and the capabilities of Sergeant Nance–team name: Snakeman–and this heroic squad is …
